"It has been my great honor to receive many awards from Mizuho so far. However, my most memorable one was the "Outstanding Award for Business Promotion" recognized by MHFG President & CEO Sato in 2013 for my contribution to the business collaboration with Vietcombank, which was appraised as the first strategic collaboration between Mizuho and a local bank outside Japan."

What do you do at Mizuho?

Joining Mizuho when it only had a Representative Office in Vietnam, I have had the honor of helping to set up the Ho Chi Minh City Branch from the very beginning. After nearly 20 years, I have been assigned as the head of several sections: General Affairs, Human Resources, Accounting, Compliance, and Business Promotion. Moreover, with great support from management, I have led most of the events for implementing our branch's visions – (Employee Satisfaction, Customer Satisfaction, and Presence No.1).

What has been your proudest moment/most rewarding experience while working at Mizuho?

It has been my great honor to receive many awards from Mizuho so far. However, my most memorable one was the "Outstanding Award for Business Promotion" recognized by MHFG President & CEO Sato in 2013 for my contribution to the business collaboration with Vietcombank, which was appraised as the first strategic collaboration between Mizuho and a local bank outside Japan.

What do you do for fun outside work?

Travelling is my favorite activity. Other than that, I spend most of my time after work enjoying time with my family!

How would you describe Mizuho's corporate culture and people?

A strong corporate culture with clear values and visions for all staff to follow. Most staff closely share and align their work with the spirit of the 5 Mizuho Values.

How is Mizuho different from other places where you have worked?

Working for Mizuho for 20 years has made me unable to tell the difference between Mizuho and other workplaces by myself. However, because of my wonderful colleagues, I'm really proud to work in such a great environment in which local staff are trusted and encouraged to contribute to the further development of our bank, and in which there is smooth communication between expatriates and local staff and among the different teams.

What skill or competency do you feel you have enhanced while at Mizuho?

"Leadership" and "coordination" with all colleagues working towards the same goal.
